Powered by compressed air at 90 psi at full load and delivering the equivalent of ½ horsepower the CAT XP28 lab homogenizer is ideal for use with low flash point samples that could be ignited with electrically powered homogenizers.

Other than requiring a hose delivering clean and properly lubricated compressed air the XP28 resembles all CAT Scientific homogenizers noted for their outstanding durability and performance across a broad spectrum of mixing, dispersing, emulsifying, and related processing functions.

A steplessly adjustable sliding switch allows researchers to control rotor-stator generator speed to 28,000 RPM. Maximum speed capability is governed by the media and the size of homogenizing tools used because speed is not automatically adjusted as is done with CAT Scientific’s family of electric-powered homogenizer drive motors. Details are provided in the instruction manual.

As with all CAT Scientific homogenizer mixers the manufacturer agrees to either repair or replace defects in materials or workmanship which develop within 24 months of delivery to the original user.
